FEFÈ VISUAL MAGAZINE

FEFÈ VISUAL MAGAZINE

ITALY

FEFÈ Visual Magazine is an international magazine of communication and contemporary art. It was born on 2007 following the international success of trendsetter and “non-text” magazines. FEFÈ is a new publication dedicated to art and visual culture, a bilingual (Italian/English) quarterly magazine distributed in Italy and in the world. FEFE’ is the acronym of Free Entry Free Exit, which alludes to the free circulation of artists. The project is based on the idea of being fed by the creativity of its selected guests: graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, artists that FEFÈ usually asks to interpret the leading theme of the next number. A theme suggested by a selected dialogue of a movie chosen like a “brief”. In the first part, the theme is developed by short news where the text is illustrated with a rich and catchy graphics by the FEFÈ Department. In the second part, 25 artists selected from an international background, one child and one writer are invited in each issue to interpret the theme of the issue by creating an original artwork (painting, digital art, illustration, photography, urban art…). In the third more recent part, a gallery page featuring a short bio, a commentary on the artwork and a portfolio of pictures, introduces each guest artist. The participative logic of FEFÈ Visual Magazine can be found in all the initiatives gathered under the name of FEFÈ Project. Behind the magazine, there is a factory always engaged in different projects: musical production, creation of gadgets, objects to collect in limited edition, happenings, VJing, having also participated in international awards.
